does the job
I had a similar adapter (with a power supply) which was IDE only, but needed SATA as well. This kit is exactly what I wanted, as it includes an IDE-SATA power adapter, but lacks the power brick (which would have been superfluous for me).

dirt cheap, but it does the job
I have two. Salvaged the drives from a couple of discarded laptops for use as backups.
The ridiculously low price must be on account of its not being USB 3, since it is a solid, functional little enclosure.
Both are so far working fine for me.

Unobtrusive and functional
Better made, smoother working, and has a wider tuning range than cheaper Chinese knockoffs.
Definitely worth the few extra dollars.
If you use steel-core strings, you really need fine tuners on all 4, and this is more functional and sleeker-looking than adding four tuners to a wood tailpiece.
