good and bad...
If you want a circular fisheye for APS-C this is the best of the very few out there.
Unfortunately it doesn't have a focusing mechanism or a variable aperture. You can calibrate it for horizon to near focus, or pan-focus, but it leaves things close to you out of focus. The fixed aperture, while protecting against diffraction, is not very helpful, adjustable down to f/16 or f/11 would have been great. Apropos of that, the lens is not particularly optically sharp either, images requiring a good bit of unsharp mask after. As durable as a chunk of stone, though, with no moving parts to speak of, and no plastic used in the construction.
The greatest thing about this lens is the nodal three-click tripod mount accessory that makes creating QuickTime environments super easy.

Pretty but soft
Not really appropriate to describe this as “candy shell” because it’s just a soft rubber skin, very nice looking but not as protective as the real candy shell cases made by Speck that have a hard outside lined with a softer rubber - like M&M candies.....

The best black ink that's not black!
Rich is the word for this color. A very warm black or a very dark red, either way it's perfect for writing and drawing. Not as waterproof as the Noodler's black, though, which may give some some pause....
