Motorola I580

Perfect for shallow water

I love these reels for ice fishing panfish in 15' or shallower. Figure out where the fish are - usually close to the bottom, insert the pin, and return to that depth every time. I like to fill the reel to just below the pin holes with some old line then wind on 30' - 40' of 2# mono or floro. You can attach the reel with shrink tube if you have a cork or foam handle. 1 1/4" works best for most handles. I remove the spool and cover the spool shaft before applying heat.
