Good monitor. Not Great, and not as good as Apple's iMac display.
0 of 3 found this helpful I feel like Apple dropped the ball when they stopped selling monitors. Their middling solution was to partner with LG on the UltraFine 5K, but not in any appreciable way other than thunderbolt compatibility. The display quality is nowhere near as good as the iMac display and, out of the box, the image is too warm/yellowish. This would be fines if it were possible to calibrate the monitor in an even rudimentary way, but the only thing that can be adjusted, is the overall white point temperature of the display.
These monitors are overpriced for what they are. Design-wise, they're nicer looking and sturdier than they appear in photos, but the massive forehead / top bezel is just clumsy and oafish. I bought this reluctantly simply because it was 5K and Apple sanctioned. I've been spoiled by using an iMac. I can't go back... not even to 4K. (Yes, I notice the difference, because my job requires me sitting in front of a screen for most of the workday and beyond).
