Mounted on all my cameras
The QR 501PL plate appears well made. I have mounted it between 1/4" tripod mount on all my Nikons and the regular QR male plate on them. Thus I can quickly mount any camera on any tripod or super clamp rig I own. I indulge mainly in safari photography. I shoot in bright sunlight so it is difficult to focus or review via the LCD. The Kamerar provides a snappy removable shade to do both. The magnetic stud makes the shade interchangeable between cameras and aligns instantly.

Good luck transferring existing files and folders
Win 7 performs well in isolation. And installs more easily than Win XP. But if you have substantial existing apps to port from Win XP it can be a nightmare because MS doesn't provide much help. MS tries not to appear "big brother" but, sadly, it still feels that way. That said, I find Apple's "my way or the highway" treatment of extension hardware and software to be arrogant beyond MS. Not to mention overpriced. So with all its warts, I will stick with Windows.

Kingston quality. What more needs to be said?
HyperX has proven excellent Kingston quality in my desktops and in my Gigabyte itx Z97 it is no exception. My Xeon E3 3.6 Ghz liquid cooled reports it to be responding at 1836 Mhz FSB.(can't remember exact no.). Be aware that the FSB freq. is an illusion The RAS+CAS+Settle latency determine the real mem. performance. Kingston didn't rewrite the laws of physics. Nor did they defy Einstein/Maxwell (max speed of light/electricity is inviolate). But they did implement them with reliability.
