Best way to make your own chalk paint.
1 of 1 found this helpful Found amazing high quality paint on the "wrong color discount table" at the local hardware store and wanted to paint furniture with it. Pre-made chalk paint is ridiculously expensive, so I already knew I wanted to make my own, I just needed to figure out the best way to do it. Quite a bit of internet research later, I decided to go with adding chalk powder, which of course is the traditional way to make chalk paint. It's awesome! Blends perfectly, not gritty at all, stays mixed up (a good stir before using is still advised) and applies smoothly. I love it. Now I just need to get my furniture finished. :-)
FYI: Using other ingredients may be cheaper, but not as effective. And this is a great price on chalk additive to make chalk paint. Free shipping and delivery is very quick.
