I don't buy what I can't afford. In Ebay terms, it means have the funds in Paypal ready to go. That is how I stay out of trouble. I also leave feedback the minute it comes ot my attention. I do as I would have done with me

Polaroid Izone 550 5 megapixel camrea mp3 player
The measure of how good or bad something is is for what. You're not going to use a steak knife as a scalpel and a scalpel is a rotten steak knife. It's not my i739 but I didn't expect it to be. I got mine for under $50 including s/h. So the price is right. It's a fine whip-it-out-fire-it-up-and-shoot although it seems to have trouble with the new CFC bulbs and the AUTO is not that good for exotic venues but for 3/4 of the conditions you will use it, it's up to it and the moderate amount of programmability, such as White Balance, you'll get another 15%. Digital zoom is not the best of all worlds, I'd like more focus options and when you're used to CCD and TFT/LCD this system is a bit alien. It would be far better if the flash was normally off and you didn't have ot shut it off. But then, that's why you have LVIEW Pro, Ulead Photo Explorer and Photoshop, which in the hands of even the semi-skilled, smooths out a lot of the bumps in the road. The Functions (delete, select and things) are well-handled for a unit this size. Just a couple of buttons and use the arrow keys; one of which functions as the OK key: Nice. I Would like it to be able to handle bigger than 1GB cards but it's not a hundred dollar camera Since so much is AUTO with some adjustable settings, it's a good learner's camera; there is some flexibility but it's not intimidating. It has date-time stamp which is great for documentation which is what you want in a grab-and-go camera. One of the reasons I got it was for it's mp3 playing ability. If I'm on the road I just yank the photos card out and slap in an mp3 card and have my Classic Rock or audio book collection right there. 5 megapixels is not hard to take although I rarely use more than 3, and usually about 1.3, so I don't have to do too much screen adjusting for the kind of work I do with it and will print out a reasoably sized hardcopy pic. It is even printer friendly if that's what you like. If you like to keep things on the computer, there's the USB 2.0 and AC/dock With this unit, Polaroid returns to its mid-20th century roots as the maker of quick and easy, moderately good snapshot cameras. Now, they've strapped it to a Brownie Haskeye, camcorder and cassette deck. It's not a Sunday-go-to-meetin' camera, but a pretty good workhorse. As a first or pocket camera, I wouldn't hesitate. At under #50 including s/h you can't lose
Vortex Recon 15×50 R/T Tactical Monocular RT155 MRAD Reticle

It does what I want it to. I reccomend it
The Pro's: It is powerful. Image is bright and sharp. For an optic with a 3.33 exit pupil, it is very adequate in low light. Traditionally the rule hss been that for good low light performance, you should have an exit pupil of 3.75. The Vortex Solo 10x36 does extremely well with an exit pupil of 3.6 and this one also exceeds the expectation (My experience with the Solo led me to believe it would). I had a Zeiss Aus Jena Nobilem 15x60 and this has a brighter image and keeps up with it in low light Cons: a bit of a hassle setting the eye relief for me, but that is unique to me. It should have had a larger objective lens. Especially considering that the Vortex binox at 56mm does. But I am not complaining Bottom Line: I cannt say "better than expected' because I expected a lot. But it performs better than the rule dictates

SaanDisk Sansa Connect 4 GB media player
As with anything, the question of rating is "how good is it compared to what's out there?" and "at what price?" The physical media player is the coming thing, particularly the mp3 audio device. I've lived to see the development of portable audio from the transistor radio of the late 1950's to the mp3 player of today; and I definitely do NOT prefer the good old days. It's true that much of the stuff we had was better, but portable media is not one of those. If an old space dog like me can get this thing going, you should have no problem. This stuff is soooo coool! And you don't have to put up with an annoyng DJ. It's like having a cassette deck or CD player on steroids. Some even have FM radio and voice recorder. I am suprised at how well the earbuds work. LIke, way better than those in-ear phones we used to have, more like decent headphones. Flash has taken the memory game to a whol 'nother level. The 4 gig in the Sansa Connect puts to shame the best of the pre 1990 machines and that and more fits in the palm of your hand. and the Micro SD/SDHC is the sis of a fingernail. This is scary. For most popular music the 128 kbps mp3 format is more than adequate. In fact these audio files may replace the CD file since they can be written to CD and DVD. As well as being native to something that fits in your pocket and even some digital cameras double as mp3 players. It's all sort of like having the Death Star in your watch. Whether or not you get the Connect with Wifi or not is up to you. The closing of Yahoo Unlimited Music makes it a moot point and ZING isn't really doing anything so you'll do just as well without it. The oriiginal intent of the Connect was to use Wifi and Yahoo! but that's really by the boards now. The Connect is out of producition However, there is a forum for those who still use it and there's a lot to recommend it. SanDisk is a leader in digital storage so they know the territory The price is right. They can be had for under $US40. While company support for it has vanished, there is good community support, including a 'recovery tool" in case your unit takes gas. Access is by menu and submenu. The cute thing is that the bottom left-right-up-down-select is also a thumbwheel that nevigates manues. The TFT screen is easy on the eyes. The memory is expandable: A slot for a micro SD card of up to 16 GB in the later or updated units and 2 GB in the earlier, non-updtated units is available. Most of what you get new or factory refurbishes should take the 16 GB bad boys While it supports several audio files it only supports certain MPEG-4 videos and JPEG and PNG photos Storage and access is by library, which is a first-level folder and means Music librapry, which is good for any audio files that it will support such as mp3 audio books and Video & Photo library. Organization of mp3 is done by 3 parameters of teh ID3 tags Album are are second-level folders in the Music Library, Artist and Genre. If you have songs of the same Genre in different albums and you instruct the machine to play that Genre, it will play across Albums, Ditto the Aritist and the Albums. It is also Playlist sync'able and the Sansa Connect commuity recommends MediaMonkey Standard (free) with which I agree. It has all the fieatures you would like EQ, Shuffle, Repeat. Moving fles from your computer is easy via USB 2.0 , Drag & drop or copy/paste. It can be a bit slow if you have a really big album, I have one with over 600 tunes and it takes a wh
