good for specific train formations
The boxes have a capacity of four coach length vehicles each with an acid-free loose lining for each to nest in.. The picture labels make the boxes very attractive, but could do with a label on all four sides to allow identification in various storage pile formations. Easy to use but pricier than the larger but unlabelled Modellers Mecca.(originally Warley MRC) storage boxes of similar style with a capacity of 12 similar vehicles on two decks (6 each) and separation into wagon compartments for up to 36 wagons, but no acid-free lining. .

A good kit
Easy to assemble and well detailed. it pays to have a well organised assembly area because some of the brick plinth parts are very small and could easily be lost. the two closer window openings are marginally too close to each other for the window pediments to mount correctly without slight trimming. I found it best to place the roof upside down and then mount the assembled wall upside down into their grooves, thus ensuring correct alignment easily. Add the plinths last. I painted the walls and doors to match the reset of my station which meant a mix of glues was needed. The doors were too greasy to take the paint without further attention, but the walls were OK. I have mounted a Tr-ang canopy above, and hope the arrangement will be stable enough to hold adjacent canopies upright.

As expected
This was a Hornby Dublo Horse Box that like many had lost its horse and some doors and was priced accordingly. It fully met my expectations.
