Well worth the cheap price, not ready for the USA
2 of 5 found this helpful It is an indoor camera. I would not trust it outside in the rain.
It was built for the China market, and then did a little (very little) work for the USA market.
I did get it to work as a simple alarm camera, but could not get it to automatically take a picture or fideo whe it is alarmed. It does send an allert to your phone.
I would rate it much higher if I could use it directly from a PC. You must use a phone.
There is no way to turn off the speaker. When power is cycled, it starts yapping to say it is working.
The while color is a little too bright. If you want to hide it, you will need to paint it a darker color.
The instructions are very weak. The printed instructions are way to small to read.
I would like to get the engineering specifications describing how it operates. The Open Source community would have a great time creating a PC application for the camera.
Get this item as a starter camera. You can practice setting up various camera placements and not worry about losing an expensive item.
