Nice Kit
This kit is one of Academy's family of B-29 based Boeings from the 40's and 50's. They used basic B-29 kit parts to produce other aircraft in 1/72 scale. Not always completely accurate, but an economical way to bring a wide variety of types (B-50, C-97, B-377) to the modeler. The RB-50G was used in the Cold War to spy on Russian radar installations to help deter war and protect Europe from Russian domination. A great reminder of those unsung Air Force aircrew who risked (and sometimes lost) lives in a secret war. The kit is a fairly easy build, but requires some skill to accurately produce a convincing natural metal finish. Will produces an impressive model. Wing flap arrangement is a little "fiddly". Props possibly inaccurate. Kit provides details of various pods, domes and antennas associated with its electronic espionage role.

This is an awesome kit. Possibly the best I have ever bought. Very complete with hundreds of small detail parts. I may one day be skilled enough ...

Real Upgrade
These are beautiful additions to a model battleship. The 16" rifles are the focus of the model. Must cut the kit blast bags off the plastic guns and drill them then glue the metal to the plastic. There is room for error here but with practice it is not hard. I made a simple diagram of the angle I wanted and used it to make sure they matched. Highly recommended
