Multi-agency playtime goodness in a 'handy' size.
Well, it was my FIRST 5-pack from Norev. I have some Norev singles in my collection, but this offered all my collection's genres (emergency vehicles, police, fire, EMS) in one fell swoop. Always happy to have a multi-agency cohort in my collection. The models are indeed durable, scaled relatively (except the helicopter...but then, it wouldn't fit the "3-inch" size class necessary for inclusion in a multipack). For play value, the child in me can overlook such 'flaws' and just enjoy having a variety of agencies to respond to their imaginary emergencies.

Solid and beautiful, but very delicate plastic 'accessories'.
1 of 1 found this helpful The casting is typically solid as would be expected with TLV, with high-quality decoration/paint. However, the fender-mounted mirrors are delicate plastic add-ons (included on sprue in a very fancy box) and there are no "locators" on the fenders for guidance where to attach them. The 'instructions' for attaching the mirrors are in Japanese (not surprising, but not helpful if you can't read Japanese.....locating where to mount them shown simply by arrows pointing to the fenders on a small photo on the bottom half of the box). It is up to a skilled owner to position the mirrors precisely and symmetrically, or leave them off to avoid having a model that doesn't look perfect. There's a pre-drilled hole in the roof for the included (on sprue) radio antenna (not shown in any of the included photos); perhaps the antenna can be inserted and removed for storage or moving the model, but the mirrors are a different story. If you do not use the antenna, there will be an obvious hole in the roof. Once the mirrors and antenna are glued on the model, the fancy box can't be used--without careful and precise modification--to store the model, as the protective interior plastic packaging is form-fitting. Still, the car/casting itself is a very attractive Japanese police car of the 60s.

FanKitModels HO scale prebuilt Yankee Walter CB 3000 airport "crash tender"
FanKit models produces resin kits and built-up models of trucks in various scales. This was my first purchase of a FanKitModel. The model I received was beautifully crafted and carefully assembled and painted. The model came in a well-padded sturdy box with professional-looking label/graphics; that product packaging was well bundled inside an additional carton, adding to the protection of the fragile model inside.
I have several resin models (both built up and in kit form) from a firm in Germany called RMM, for Reinhard Merlau Modellbau. I missed out on the opportunity to purchase their version of this Walter crash tender when it was available years ago, and was very pleased to see another company had the model available. In overall quality of the casting and detail, I would rate this company's casting as equal to the RMM resin models I have in my collection. (The RMM models of the past were comparably priced. However, these FanKit releases may be less expensive per item than RMM commanded at the time, and continue to be when you can find the RMM products.) I recommend FanKit's offerings if you value fine-scale detailing and craftsmanship.
(Rereading my review, above, sounds like boilerplate and what I would expect from the company that produced the product; but, I really am a satisfied customer, not associated with the company at all, even though I may write like I was. Maybe they should hire me.....)
