Is Mr Brown Controlled by Remote?
An excellent collection of roots reggae artists during their early years. If you are expecting radio staples from Bob Marley and The Wailers, you will be disappointed. The tracks offered here are deep cuts from the original Wailers; Bunny, Peter and Bob. Also present are tracks from Lee "Scratch" Perry, The Upsetters and several other originators. The one criticism I might offer is the glaring lack of liner notes.
For anyone interested in rocksteady, early dub as well as early roots reggae, this collection is a superb introduction!
