Sony Bravia KDL-70R550A 70" Full 3D 1080p HD LED LCD Internet TV

Powerhouse

Super bright, Crystal clear image, gorgeous colors, great with motion. One of, if not the best ,70 inch 1080P TV's ever made. Buy it used if you can find one. The only drawback is its weight. Until 4K becomes something legitimately available (with actual 4K channels) and affordable (4K movies are outrageously expensive) this is pretty much all the TV you need. The 75 inch version is also phenomenal, but even harder to find used. IMHO, these are better TV's than Samsung.

Overpriced, Bright Sounding Speakers

After hearing a lower model in my local car audio shop, I decided to drop the cash on this very high end model. If you are planning on running these speakers on axis with your ears, save yourself the trouble. The treble is far too pronounced to get away with such a setup. While being extremely detailed, these speakers have a sizable bump in those registers, I personally did not like the sound. I have since gone with a different , much less expensive brand and am quite happy. The real star of this set is the mid woofer. Light, detailed and pretty much 3 dimensional. I listen to mostly rock music. I was powering these with ample watts (100 watts per channel RMS, I even tried them bridged with 300 watts per channel) I am simply not feeling the Focal sound in the least. I had heard they tend towards the bright side, but these are basically unlistenable to me. If you desire a warm sound, stay away from this set.

Powerhouse Amp With Great Value

I actually use this amplifier to power two high end tower speakers with multiple drivers (5). This amplifier puts to shame several boutique "audiophile" amplifiers that I have auditioned in my own home, both in terms of musicality and output. Its got gobs and gobs of clean power. I actually could afford a much more expensive amplifier, but Im totally satisfied with the way this one sounds.
