An amazing value for the price
I'd researched this brand a bit before purchase and knew going in that it would have a solid build quality. HOWEVER, I was STILL surprised at what arrived. This instrument looks stunning and feels like a comparable model for hundreds more. The finish is absolutely perfect on my model, no imperfections. There are areas on the binding where paint crosses the binding, but these are so small, you have to be an inch or two from the instrument to to see them. The pickups are perfectly serviceable and it was playable out of the box, needing only minimal setup (which, again, was a surprise). The electronics are well done and harnessed in nicely, but the nuts on all of the pots and the input jack needed to be tightened.
CONS: Most big complaints I could make are all related to the headstock. The nut on my model is cut badly and will definitely be replaced. By badly, I mean the high and low e strings are spaced farther from the 2nd and 5th strings than any other strings in relation to one another. It's not unplayable, but definitely done poorly, although the slots are, themselves well cut and set. The tuning machines are fair (better than most entry level guitars but probably only near the top of that level at best) and will definitely be swapped for something better. The other negative would be that the position of the bridge pickup is low in the body, resulting in the poles not lining up with the strings. Each string sits over the top of the pole screws rather than the center.
Be aware that photos show a guitar with a lighter blue, almost turquoise color. This instrument has a much darker blueburst than that shows. Closer to a midnight blue or blueberry with moderate transparency. Personally, I love it but some may be disappointed.
Overall... I'd highly recommend it even with the cons. The tuners and nut are a worthwhile and nominal investment anyways (I'd remove the plastic nut one way or the other to be honest). The pickup placement issue isn't a deal breaker for me as it still sounds fine. What you get for your money, a set neck semi hollow with excellent overall craftsmanship, makes this worth every penny. I'd buy another without a second thought.

Killer Preamp
1 of 1 found this helpful For the price of this pedal you get your money's worth and then some. I've used it extensively with four and five string basses, active and passive pickups, a standup bass and even a strat and a Les Paul. Additionally I've run it through Fender, Behringer and Hartke Amplifiers, solid state and tube. I also ranit direct into the board of my PA. The pedal is dynamic and responsive and the controls give you a lot of tone shaping capabilities. The dual output is a great feature that fit nicely into my effects chain and dual amp setup, giving me sitting routing options. Can't really think of any bad thing to say about it.

A surprisingly well built pedal!
Despite the price, this pedal is solidly built, with a metal enclosure and a well lit and clear display. The interface is clean and easily read at a distance and has a nice hue that keeps it from being obnoxiously bright. Buttons are all solid and the form factor is so small it can easily fit onto a guitar pedal board, in a pocket, or in the compartment of a guitar case, and the construction ensures it will work like a charm. The only cons I've yet to notice are the plastic plate around the 9v power supply connector is a little loose... not disturbingly so, but it was noticeable and easily fixed with a spot of glue. The only other complaint for some might be the lack of a battery terminal, which is probably due wholly to the tiny form factor and which was not a concern for me. The pedal is on or off for anyone wondering. When not engaged, the display turns off.
Personal notes: I was impressed with the packaging, which was nicer than some far more expensive DOD and BOSS pedals I've purchased. A very nicely presented package. As a backup for my trusty Planet Waves tuner, it's a wonderful addition. I'd recommend it in a heartbeat to anyone looking for a durable little tuner with a well lit and easy to read display. I was unsure of this product, being from a company I was unfamiliar with. Now, I can honestly say that I'd recommend this pedal to anyone, easily. The price is right and the construction is great.
