Heavy duty
Great heavy-duty outer body. Rotatable diffraction grating adds a nice touch producing some fun patterns for kids. Removal of diffraction grating by removing nose piece produces a very powerful single beam. I used this laser to FLO my golf shafts. Requires a single 18650 battery.

Devil in details
Thermostat housing and thermostat looked to be well made. However, a lack of attention to detail makes this a 4 star instead of 5. The oem O-ring has a rectangular cross-section (explanation: if you make a cut in the o-ring to make it look like a string, the string will have a rectangular cross-section) which fits very snugly into the thermostat groove. Although the circular cross-section O-ring supplied with this item fits; it does not inpire much confidence. I will keep my fingers crossed and periodically check for leaking coolant.
