Deering Goodtime II

Beginners Banjo Deering II

Since I received it I found it hard putting it down. Once tuned it sounds great and seems to stay in tune for awhile. I bought it used and I haven't changed the strings yet but it sounds great for now and just wonder how better it will sound with new strings. If your a beginner like me I suggest spending a little more and buying the Deering II it's a better investment. I had bought a cheaper Banjo and then bought this one. It is a pleasure to play. And Made in America instead of an Import.

My Opinion

Compact and stable, I like it for what it is and the Cost. On the down side it's mainly plastic so you need to be genital with it because of this, but just about everything today is Plastic it saves weight and it has become more durable. But for the price I got it for I think it's a good buy................
