Bastinelli design at a great price!
Bastinelli makes some very nice tactical knives. This product by Master Cutlery gives you some part of the handling and design for a fraction of the price. It's a lesser steel, of course, and the handle slabs are black packkawood - a wood / plastic composite and pretty tough. Comes with a decent sheath that should last awhile. The only reason it gets a 4 star from me instead of a 5 star rating is because Mtech left the edge thicker than a true Bastnelli fighter - probably a good idea for the American market where a premium is placed on toughness and batoning capability. It's solid.

Wow.
Never used this and probably never will. I own the 18" and 14" Camp. Both of these pieces are well made and comfortable and secure in the hand. Prefer them over any of the much more expensive swords I've purchased. If like me you brazenly wielded a plastic pirate sword as a young child and you like the show Vikings, these machete / short swords may be the fulfillment of a lifelong dream.

Could be great.
2 of 2 found this helpful What a neat knife - a cross between the older SRK and the A1. Nice size, thickness, blade shape, grind and finish. Decent edge and a better handle than the original SRK and A1. The problem for me is that the blades are fitted at a slight angle to the handle. I ended up buying 3 of these and not one of them was properly straight. Very disappointed because I love the knife and the price. If Marbles can fix this assembly issue, this could be one of the best knife values out there.
