Great. Basically identical to the real deal.
0 of 1 found this helpful I have just gotten into WW1 reenacting, and needed a helmet, in my collection I have a pretty much NOS m1917, as well as just a shell in good shape.
I'm glad I found this since it kept me from potentially damaging my good helmet.
Compared to the real thing, it's practically identical. I compared it side by side with the original. From the wool pad at the crown, the netting, chinstrap, and even the sizing instructions. The only thing not exactly as it was is the black "leather" which is some sort of synthetic, but I could care less, close enough, just mentioning to be thorough.
No instructions, but easy enough to figure out (having the other helmet around helped). The only pain was setting the rivet at the crown, luckily I had a rivet setter from a previous project, I imagine you could get around not having one handy.
Great buy, very pleased with it. Will recommend to all my reenactor friends.
