Lot of diodes for a few bucks
These are very cost effective. They fix the "electric eye" on the garage door that opens it when the beam is broken. They also fix the countertop ice makers that use them to stop the machine when the bin is full of ice. They're going to corrode again in a few years due to the moist icemaker environment, but now you have plenty of replacements. Just be sure to use a big heat sink if you solder them as they are quite sensitive. Also you need a good meter to check them because the lesser expensive Har80r Fre16ht meters will give false readings.

Wasn't Really What was Advertised
1 of 1 found this helpful This was advertised as the Winegard MetroStar, one of which I had previously purchased. The one I bought before for my motorhome was metal and works well. I decided to buy another for the house as I needed to take down the big antenna to make room for more solar panels. When this one arrived, it was plastic, not metal. The instructions also contained cautions about placing it outdoors, which is kind of the whole idea of getting good reception. The plastic did not appear to be capable of withstanding the sun for long and they didn't want it in a wet location. Not quite the specifications one would expect in an outdoor antenna. I decided to try it indoors, even though I have a concrete home. It worked well, so I had no reason to place it outdoors anyway. I would have given this 5 stars had it been as advertised. I still recommend the purchase because of the great reception it provides.

Great Terrestrial Video Recorder and Tuner, Bad Satellite Receiver
I bought this in '09 when they were new and paid almost $500. The blind scan is pretty fast and doesn't miss much. MPEG2 comes in good, picture quality is good, but don't waste your money on the S2 board. It won't receive MPEG 4 or H264 or 4-2-2 or 4-2-0. As a terrestrial video recorder, it excels. The tuner strength and picture quality of terrestrial is excellent. I have the identical Se&g^te hard drive in the AZB0* and this recorder works much better. I had to send the 9200 back for warranty work about a year after I bought it and it never worked right after that. It locked up much more often and needed a hard reboot with almost every channel change. Then it quit working altogether, so I took it apart and the motherboard has some fried components on it. The only way I would buy another one is to use as a terrestrial video recorder because it's less expensive than other options. I would only plug it in when using it, and I would place a large suction fan on top of the box to draw huge volumes of air through the box as it gets extremely hot.
