Great words, fine art
This is the University of Chicago Press's edition using Barry Moser's elegant wood engravings. A fine book, beautiful images.

An Engaging and Entertaining Contrast: an Indian doctor and wife in a small Welsh mining community.
Who would have thought to plop down an accomplished Indian doctor and his near-princess wife in a small coal-mining town in Wales? And if so, who would have thought it would be plausible enough to be entertaining? That's what this series set out to do and accomplishes in good order, giving a glimpse into the lives of the miners and townspeople in high contrast with the Indian doctor en famille. A good effort.

Intimate Masses, Exceptionally Performed
You have to like this sort of music, intimate masses from the days of Roman Catholic persecution in England, but William Byrd was a master musician who created glorious works. This year is the 400th anniversary of his death and his music has been available in a number of forums, thankfully. The Deller Consort is exceptional and does the music full justice.
