Pair 7" Inch Round LED Headlights Halo Angle Eyes For Jeep Wrangler JK LJ TJ CJ
Aug 13, 2019
Great price and value for the product, pretty impressed.
Purchased for a 2002 Jeep Wrangler Sport For half the price of the major brands on Amazon and the other usual sites, this is a great deal for just the look and style I was going for. I'm very impressed with the functionality of these lights and being able to have the Amber/white halo's was a must with turn signals which these pull off really well. I didn't have the issue that other reviews had with the high and low beam's being backwards. They did need some adjusting and I feel like the pattern is pretty poor. The light has a solid cutoff but the focus of the light is pretty low. So if I have the focus of the light pattern where I want it, the ambient light is too high and blinds other drivers. If I have the focus on the ground, I'm really relying on a margin of the light output to see at night, hopefully that makes sense. The high beams are pretty tall, and spread out which at a distance offers great light. I did notice that the lights fogged up after driving at night here in August in Michigan when I installed them. At first I thought "that's what you get for cheap lights" but some other sites said it could be from shipping and being manufactured in a different climate. So sure enough after about a week it's cleared up really well and I can run the lights all night without any fogging up. Where these lights cut corners for price is with the halo. The LED's are spaced out way too far in my opinion (about 1/8", maybe?) and lead the pattern to be very clearly visible where the LED's are. That and there are two gaps in the white and amber that I believe is where the LED strip(s) end and start. Honestly, I think the higher end ones make the halo's look a lot more of a continuous single light but for saving approx. $50 I can live with it. Install process - Take out old headlights, watch a video if you can't figure it out. Install these in their place, simply plug and play. There will be two additional wires which need to be ran, one will be Green and the other Red. Green = Amber Halo (Turn Signal), Red = White Halo I used a fuse tap and tapped into the fuel injector fuse. Put the standard 20amp for the injectors on the bottom and a 5amp fuse for the white halo. I ran a wire across and under my grille, zip tieing into an existing wiring harness. I'd recommend using a dark wire for this since it is in front of the radiator and anyone looking up underneath might see it. If you keep it taught and zip tied across though it shouldn't matter. Anyways, tap both Red wires into each other since you won't have only one on at a time, then tap the one wire into the fuse box. I drilled a hole through the bottom and sealed it to keep the box water tight and clean without wires coming out the sides. Then for the Green turn signals, just run a wire to either side's turning signal and you're all set. Make sure to tape everything, solder the connectors and use heat shrink to make these last. This review is after a few days of owning and using these lights. Will update in the future if I have any issues.
