1 of 1 found this helpful I bought the movie because it was filmed, primarily, in my hometown of Petersburg, VA. I bought it for the nostalgia, and was rewarded with a beautiful film of a young male teen growing in to manhood very quickly.
I would call this a "soft" movie, diminished lights, soft scenery, slow moving. But make no mistake, this is an "effects of war" movie.
For my 'Burg friends - you'll see Sycamore St, Centre Hill Mansion, and The Globe Depth Store. Buy it for the nostalgia and love it for the story. I see something new every time I watch it!
