Mainline Class 56 loco BR Rail Blue Large Logo livery.
Stunningly beautiful at the time of launch in the 1980s. The body, bogie side frames, and the overall model in general were a benchmark for the time, especially alongside contemporary models from Hornby and Lima. The basic tooling stood the test of time, being used later by Dapol, and then Hornby for their early version Class 56. The ring field motor driving 1 power bogie is now dated, as is the use of traction tyres. Nose end lighting is also primative by modern standards, using a single filament bulb to illuminate all the lights (headlight, marker lights, and tail lights) in the direction of travel. The basic model does lend itself to fairly easy dcc conversion. It provides a great opportunity for newcomers to detailing to "cut their teeth" with many detailing kits available. Full directional lighting, and dcc controlled lighting kits are also available on the open market. Now superceded by newer versions with central can motor, this loco is still available on the 2nd hand market, and worth purchasing if you can find a tidy example at the right price.

Stiff Little Fingers, All The Best. Double album.
1 of 1 found this helpful One of the most underrated groups to emerge from the Punk era. The songs of Jake Burns and the boys have the lot. Teenage angst, social commentary with a message in every fantastic composition. A bit of rock that will blow your eardrums and pithy lyrics. If you like rock raw and red in tooth & claw, SLF fit the bill. Containing live tracks and studio recordings, this album has the lot. No Rigid Digits in your music collection? This album is a great way to introduce yourself to the pure enjoyment that is Stiff Little Fingers.
