eBay member since 1999. I live in Singapore, which is a city and a country, all in one. It s a great place to live, but an absolutely horrendous place to use eBay for selling anything.

PSB M4U 8 Wireless Active Noise Cancelling HD Bluetooth Headphones
    Feb 19, 2019
Slightly Less Ugly Than Its Older Brother the M4U2. Amazing Sound Quality Now Via Bluetooth!
I loved the old M4U2s from PSB even though they were not wireless. I did not care, because they sounded better than almost any other headphone I've ever owned, including studio monitor headphones. With or without the ANC on, the pre-amp on, just all around, they were amazing. They had a few drawbacks though. First, they were incredibly ugly, like PSB went to the old Beats factory and said, "Make these look like those Dr. Dre's circa 2008, but uglier!" Shiny black or white, tacky metallic silver, clunky clamshell folding mechanism. They were HEAVY. Then there were the batteries... no recharging via USB, years after everyone else went that direction. I found myself holding the battery cover in place with velcro strips after breaking the plastic closure clips off, changing the batteries out 4-5 times a week. The noise-canceling was "good enough", as well. It was not the reason to buy the M4U2, but then all that aside, the M4U2s sounded amazing. I used them all the time, everywhere. At home, at work, on planes, in my home studio. One could tell all the work put into them went into the way they sounded, and that made me forget about the stuff I didn't like so much. About a year ago I wore out the headband and got tired of lugging them around, and I went over to the Sony WH1000MX2's. These worked pretty well for me, and they traveled pretty well, and I forgave them for the slightly boomy low-end and less balanced frequency response. Now, here come the M4U8's, with Bluetooth connectivity. When I picked these up I worried that PSB might have given away the one thing it had over everyone else -- sound quality -- in favor of having some sort of wireless headphone on the market. And I hoped they might be a little less heavy, less tacky-looking, etc. If you're like me, when you open the box you're probably not going to say, "Wow! These look beautiful." While PSB put at least a little effort into making the M4U8's less ugly it's all relative - they had a lot of ground to make up versus B&O H8's or even Sony's WH1000MX. I think they gave up about halfway through that effort. The M4U8 come in matte black, and while they have a nice faux-leather headband they still weigh enough that you'll get a workout lugging them around in your backpack. Frankly, they're still huge, compared to their competitors. They do provide rechargeable batteries and there is a USB port for charging ("Yay! Finally!")... and you *can* replace the batteries with regular AAAs if you need to. I don't recommend that for reasons previously stated unless you're really good with velcro. I also didn't expect the ANC to be as good as Sony's or Bose's ANC headphones, based on other reviews. At the end of the day, I pinned all my hopes (again) on these things sounding amazing and that this would make up for all the other "cons" versus my Sony WH1000's. Long story short, after using these for a week I am not disappointed. From Alternative to Zydeco, the M4U8 delivers the same butt-kicking sound quality as its older brother the M4U2, now via Bluetooth. They're back as the first things I reach for when I want to shut the rest of the world out and listen to some great music. If you're looking for headphones that are chic, sleek, pretty, elegant, convenient, lightweight, low-profile, etc., these are not for you. On the other hand, if it's the quality of the sound you're after, then these headphones will amaze you.
