Suitable as a display or prop. Not functional.
Not suitable for whip cracking. I crack 8, 10, 12 and 16 foot whips and this 6' whip is unusable. It seems to have a foam core in the handle which allows it to flex and lacks control for proper cracking. As another user said, you get what you pay for. In my opinion it's only good for decoration or as a costume prop.

Good and bad
1 of 1 found this helpful When I first connected power to test the laser it did not activate. I assumed at that point it was a defective unit. However, I noticed the solder on one side was sort of a blob and not smooth. I picked at it with my fingernail and found that it was not soldered to the board on the laser module. I heated my soldering iron and added a touch of fresh solder and it immediately adhered to the board. I allowed it to cool a few seconds and connected power. Bingo! It worked! Looking at the laser spot on the wall it appears to be slightly elongated, not a round dot. But I don't think it will have a negative effect on my project. Aside from the poor solder connection, this seems like a good value.

Good luck with manual
1 of 1 found this helpful Horrible spelling and grammar errors. Virtually impossible to use the manual. You can decipher some of what the buttons do, but actually learning how to use the controller is nearly impossible using the manual. Even numerical sequences are out of sequence and nonsensical. You just have to ignore the sequence numbers. It will require some time experimenting to figure it out. Even the word "Designer" on the front panel of the controller is spelled incorrectly.
I'm going to have to search the web to see if anyone has a good manual for a similar unit, or if someone has re-engineered a better manual for this unit.
I have managed to figure out a couple of functions, but only the most basic operations at this time. Programming chase sequences is still a mystery.
My ratings choices explained:
I only recommend it if you have prior experience with a similar unit.
It could be a good value if the manual was useful or if you already know how to use it.
It could be enjoyable if it was usable.
