Not bad, but not as curvy as photos suggest
These are fine, but in the photos they look exactly like vintage Vox knobs and in reality they are much more squared off and not as rounded or curvy. Otherwise I like them.

Not bad for playing with headphones, but lousy running into an amp
1 of 2 found this helpful This works great as a headphone/practice amp, with a ton of tonal variations and some really lush reverb sounds. But it just does not sound good using as an effect pedal into a clean amplifier, which is what it's actually supposed to be. And the high-gain tones just sound odd. But some of the clean sounds are beautiful. Great if bought cheap if you just want to play guitar without disturbing others.

If your guitar is too thin and/or bright, this is your pickup!
2 of 2 found this helpful I built a guitar that was just too bright for a Super Distortion for my taste, and too thin for a Carvin M22SD, so I tried this pickup and it is great! Thick and full, nice tight low end, and no ice pick. Dimarizo thinks it is a metal pickup but I think it is great for classic rock & AC/DC tones through a crunchy amp. I plan to use one in my next guitar.
