Till Brönner - "The Good Life"
Till Brönner's clean and clear trumpet sound coupled with his vocals on these classic tunes make for a delightful and relaxing listen. This album deserves a place in your Jazz library.

The pianist of small stature that was a giant
Michel Petrucciani left us too early. His talent was legendary and his ability to excite an audience is apparent on the CD, "Live Michel Petrucciani". Recorded live in 1991 at The Arsenal in Metz, France, the song selections are classic Michel Petrucciani and all but the last song are his compositions. The song that completes the album is one that he used as his "show stopper" in many of his concerts and that song is "Estaté" by the Italian Jazz singer and composer, Bruno Martino, and it has become a Jazz standard. Michel could feel the energy of his audience and he returned that energy by his piano playing triple-fold. Michel Petrucciani was burdened with a disease from birth called osteogenesis imperfecta, a genetic disease that causes brittle bones and in his case a very short stature. Nonetheless he overcame the burdens attached with the disease to become one of the most talented and renowned Jazz pianist of his generation. Petrucciani uses different layers of harmony in his playing and his quick and staccaato style is both articulate and lyrical while also being percussive. Michel Petrucciani was truly a giant when performing on the piano.
