With the metal cage...
This is a decent regulator - not the point here - the bracket this one came with is no joke. 12 guage steel, powder coated, and pre drilled for several other brands.

Ignore the BDX issues.
The BDX works fine, Bluetooth and all. My point is all the negative reviews and frustrations people have had overshadow the fact this is an awesome stand alone rangefinder as well. I use it as both, mode change takes under 5 seconds. Far and away better than my Vortex for less money.

Buy these reflector bulbs for you giant Lava Lamp, don't get frosted flood lamps
These are the proper reflector bulb you want. The frosted R20 flood and pool lamp type don't heat the globe properly, they just make the metal base extra hot which is not helpful. I have four of these lamps side by side, and the difference in motion, brightness, and warm up time is obvious.
