Effective.
It is firm enough and tall enough to keep our cats from going into areas we don't want them in. They could probably leap over, but there's no traction and they probably feel it's not worth the effort, so it works very well for our needs.

Exclusive feature.
There is a feature that most people don't use and most people don't even know about, which is the ability to use the 1X fast forward and still see close captioning. This is invaluable when you want to see what's being said but don't want to slog through in real time. I use this feature for judge's comments and parts of my soap opera. Tivo stopped providing this feature in ALL subsequent models and I will continue using this ancient Series 3 model for as long as they still exist.

Coby DP-102 0.2" Digital Picture Frame
Nice size, but that's about the only positive thing I can say about this item. The slide show was v-e-r-y slow and when I changed the timing to 5 seconds it made no difference; the slides still took 12-20 seconds to change. It occurred to me that the photos were pretty high res and maybe that was the reason for the slow rate, but this should be stated in the manual. This frame was on display at a party and people got fairly frustrated and bored having to wait so long between photos.
