Lacking in Print and Production Quality
What good is a Bible if the print causes eye strain? What good is Bonded leather binding if it is produced, at times, with flaws? As with so much in today's world... value and quality continue to diminish. IF you must have an Oxford Scofield.. get their Classic edition. The printing and binding is nicely done.. though the print is smaller than the Standard edition. Personally, I HIGHLY recommend, Oxford aside, the Barbour Publishing edition "Classic King James Study Bible, edited by C.I. Scofield". I now own 2 copies of it in their Bonded Leather version. Wow! The printing is VERY well done, both black and red letter. They have used the 1909 original Classic edition.. which is terrific! Many more highlights. A GREAT SCOFIELD STUDY BIBLE... as it once was, and is still meant to be. Ebay has them available at great prices!

Very useful Bible for thoughtful study. Nelson should reprint it.
I've become a fan of this Bible. It is not tainted with Translator/Publisher bias like the Amplified Bible, to which it is most comparable. I do strongly recommend this Bible. My only concern is that it was advertised as "Excellent' (it is a used copy)...no torn or creased pages, etc", but there were numerous creased or damaged pages from previous use. I think a better rating would have been "Good"., and certainly a lower price. I say this from much experience in purchasing books and Bibles online. I kept it because this Bible is out of print, which is a shame. I think Nelson Publishers did a disservice to the translators both in terms of construction quality and lack of aggressive marketing, and that ultimately ends up being a disservice to many Christians who could greatly benefit from The Expanded Bible.
