Get a bunch of these if you have a 9mm LCR, also works for 9mm SP101. Makes for less reloading and more shooting. Avoid using steel cased ammo.

1911 thumb safety - Klonimus top quality thumb safety for standard 1911

Good value MIM replacement part

I was looking to replace my ambi safety for an extended lever single side safety on my 1911. I have an inexpensive model with MIM parts so I didn't feel the need to get a safety machined from bar stock. This fit the bill, depending on the kind of grips you have you may have some downward play when you disengage the safety. Like all 1911 parts some fitment required, if you don't know what you're doing take it to a gunsmit. The finish on this is light so if you practice with a lot of repetitions you will see some wear rather quickly. Otherwise this safety is good value for a MIM part.
