Amazing lens!
2 of 2 found this helpful I have received this lens a few hours ago and have been playing with it ever since. It is sharp corner to corner. I am adapting this lens on the Sony A7III using the Sigma MC-11 adapter. I am happy to report that there is no lack of image quality. The autofocus is very fast in adequate light, however, it hunts in less contrasty situations. I will mostly shoot in daylight with it so it doesn't bother me. The manual focus is very smooth. The IS works smoothly with the Sony A7III IBIS. There is a sooosh sound when the lens IS is turned on. It doesn't bother me as well.
I went with this lens instead of the Sony G 70-200mm f/4 because that is comparatively old, has field curvature and focus breathing issues, and copy variations....as I heard from reviews. The people are saying that this is one of the best lenses Canon has ever produced, so I took their word and bought it.....it is amazing in my opinion. I love both Canon and Sony and will keep using the bests of both for my needs.
