Carbon fiber is amazing
When I saw its specification, i was questioned why it is relatively so heavier. The legs are super lightweight, but the metal connection on the top was the reason. That metal part, to maximize its durability and stability in terms of weight, had to be designed it that way. It is acceptable weight, but cannot be happy weight. If you had to carry it all day on your backpack, most of y'all want to throw it away.
It is quite long when fully folded. It is shorter then my 3-day assault bag, but longer then compact my everyday backpack.
I am 182cm tall using D810. The hight is just perfectly meet my eye level when I fully expand it. You may don't need a ball head if you willing to mount your cam directly.
Smell. The carbon leg currently has a burnt carbon-like smell. It is okay to put inside your home, but is not okay to smell your hand or having a dinner after using this tripod. I am not sure whether it is permanent or temporal. I am going to wipe the legs this weekend.
In general, i like it. Due to the currency situation I got this item in a really reasonable price from Australia. But if I had to pay more than USD 900, i may be reconsider it. Not because of the product quality, but because of my budget.

Definetely it is deserved to be paid.
Older generation of 80-200 2.8D (heavy) and D810 does not have any difficulties to be tightly fixed on it. Friction control allows me to fix my cam in an angle without tightening the knob, it is useful especially when i need to change my angle of view constantly in the conference or seminar.
