Very thick & big, takes more time than instructed to get soft enough to mold. Can barely close my average adult size mouth over it.

Does not work on a hot plate
I live in a guest house with no stove. I use a hot plate.
I bought this to protect my Corning ware saucepan from getting that heat ring on the bottom. It is supposed to evenly distribute burner heat but even on maximum setting, the pan never got hot enough to cook the soup. It might work on a stove but it does not work with a hot plate.
This heat diffuser is cheap metal - thin aluminum or tin.
It arrived bent and the handle is loose & floppy.
It is discolored after one use.
Now I just heat it up and use it for a foot warmer in my bed.
