And weirdly enjoyable experience.
So this is essentially a Wii demake of the first Dead Rising for Xbox 360. The story is the exact same but it uses the same engine Capcom used for Resident Evil 4 so the gameplay ends up feeling like a combination of DR1 and RE4. It is a combination that I didn't expect to be anywhere near as compelling as it is. I love both DR1 and RE4. They are two of my all time favorites so Chop Till You Drop scratches an itch I didn't even realize was there.
Keep in mind, there are drastic changes to the way the game plays on Wii. There are far fewer interactable objects/weapons and there is much more emphasis on guns as opposed to melee weapons. The time limit is gone and saving survivors is done through a mission menu where you are ranked on your preformance each time.
It is different and weird and a bit clunky at times but if you love Capcom's zombie games, and you are looking to grow your Wii collection, you really can't go wrong here. Grab it while its still ten bucks for a nice copy.
