The Point of The Point
Wonderful music with lessons intertwined within a journey that began with accusations of wrong doing and banishment to gaining experiences, knowledge and being in wondrous colorful adventures. And he's just a boy with his endearing companion, Arrow.
Music is touching and easy to sing along with.
Typical of the era of "open your mind" to new or existing concepts, it flowers the screen with color and messages subliminal.
It wasn't too long from when the Yellow Submarine made its entry into colorful cartoon world that The Point came out. Some things in it look very familiar for a YS fan.
All aside, this is a delightful movie to follow Oblio and Arrow as they make their journey.
I highly recommed its purchase for all those 70's kids and fans of Harry Nilsson
Seems sad that only now, we are really learning of his remarkable and extremely gifted talents as a musician, singer, songwriter and storyteller.
Oh!, and it never hurts to have a Beatle narrate your story...(rock on Ringo!).

Exceeded Expectations
I have been a fan of this classic sci fi movie ever since I saw it. Robby has always fascinated me with his multiple workings and colorful voice simulations. The movie was outstanding then, to a small boy in elementary school (born in '55 so I didn't see it when originally released) but saw it in my movie theater matinee. Then on TV.
Wow!!! then and Wow!!! now. I'm 62.
The 50th Anniversary Edition is outstanding, especially containing one of the best repros of Robby. All paraphernalia included brought me back to the childhood wonder of my first viewing of this amazing movie. Video and sound quality are exceptional. Additional offerings gave hints of the hows and whys of the making of this movie. And of course, wonderful movie photos and posters.
My purchase included a Robby coffee mug (which I enjoy everyday since it arrived) and a very comfortable Robby-esque blanket. I had not seen either previously and was a further treat of treats to purchase and now own. Both will be much used and appreciated as I view over and over again this delightful movie with its messages of our human frailties and weaknesses and realizations of how we must make those choices to overcome them.
By far, in my opinion and others, the movie that led to space travel and adventures as we now know them.
