Extraordinary book

This is one of the best books I ever read. I've recommended it to many people and given it as gifts to a number of them. It's an amazing story and Ann Beresr is a wonderful writer. I was sorry when the book ended.

A time capsule of privileged class morale and attitudes in the late 80s.

A little slow getting engaged in the first episode, but I did get hooked. It's a wonderful encapsulation of the time period, late 1980s and attitudes toward homosexuality, drug use at the time, attitudes and morals, upper class life (in UK, but similar to US). The actors are all excellent and extremely attractive to boot. I really enjoyed it and was very sorry it was only three episodes.
