Family film that is cute but not boring.
I saw this movie in the theater with my sister as her boyfriend doesn't watch "kiddie" movies. Because we are less deep, evidently, we both enjoyed it although I would not say this is a movie that would ever qualify for the Oscars. Having said that, whenever it came on t.v. I would watch it and this went on for several years until I decided to buy the darn thing. As I said in the Review Title it is a family film that I find cute but not boring. What can I say? I like stuff with superheroes and this one has some great adult actors in it playing their roles with straight faces and just the right attitude. The high school scenes and the story line are predictable with some clever twists and I confess - I really like this movie because it makes me feel happy during and after the viewing. Now that I think of it, I usually never watch Oscar nominated films and when I do I find the majority of them pretentious, dark, too political, depressing AND boring. Obviously SKY HIGH was a good choice for me. :-)
