Good Surround Receiver
If you don't need a lot of bells and whistles or 4k, this is a great receiver, especially for not a lot of money (at this point). It does everything you'd expect a 7.1 receiver to do and has plenty of HDMI ports on the back, as well as one on the front for convenience. The on-screen setup is basic, but intuitive. My only complaint is that there's a known issue with the HDMI daughterboard that effects some of these units that has not been addressed. I'm not an electrical engineer, but from what I understand there's something wrong with 5 of the capacitors on the board, which prevents the on-screen setup to work and requires the unit to warm up before the video output will display. It's an annoyance, for sure. On a side note, if your handy with a soldering iron and know how to find YouTube how-to's, the capacitors are easily and inexpensively replaced.
