Compelling Page-Turner About a Shameful Period in American History
This is a riveting, briskly written tale of the systematic murder of Osage Indians by their white "friends" and guardians who sought control of their oil wealth. Structured like a murder mystery, this extraordinarily well-researched book lays out what the historical records show about this sad period in American history. It is a quick read and a page-turner, which is exceptional in a nonfiction history book.

Good for little Frozen fans
The stories are easy enough for a first grader to read. My 5-year-old granddaughter enjoyed having the electronic reader read to her. Just don't expect any great literature from these very simplistic tales!
