I'm a private collector of antique and vintage microscopes and equipment. My main interest lies with British examples by Watson along with other quality makes - usually late Victorian to 1950s. My first microscope 36 years ago was my dad's old Watson Edinburgh-H serial no. 23604 from 1917, that was ex dye-house laboratory. It'd been rather well used, had withstood the test of time remarkably well and piqued my interest. I've owned dozens of similar instruments since then. I'm always looking to add to my collection and also sell-on top quality instruments that I've personally used/restored, plus excess items/spares to other enthusiasts and those new to the world of microscopy.
