Fabulous, informative, and simply fascinating for the carnival glass lover.
I have found this to be one of the most interesting Carnival Glass books to date. It includes so many fantastic, detailed photos of the patterns. Fascinating information about the various companies that made carnival glass. A brief history on many of the patterns,... how to determine colors and a guide to determining the value of the pieces included in this book.
I thought I had died and gone to Carnival Glass Heaven when I acquired the 10th Edition. Mr. Carwile has identified and included even more patterns and photos in this 11th Edition.
Using Mr. Carwile's book has helped me improve my collection, identify valuable pieces that may have escaped my attention otherwise.
It includes identification for not only American made carnival glass but English, Australian, South American, and just so much more. There is a section to help identify fakes and reproductions also.
If you love and collect carnival glass, this book is worth every penny. I highly recommend it to the pro and novice collector alike.

A helpful guide for the novice Fenton collector
3 of 3 found this helpful Many people love Fenton glass just because. Others, myself included, like to know the names of the patterns, colors, and have a clue as to the possible values of the various pieces.
I found this book to be very helpful as well as interesting. In addition to great pictures of the glass, it contains a bit of Fenton history and a bit of information as to how the glass patterns are made. Though the value guides are helpful, as always, value is determined by supply and demand,...nothing is "written in stone". It just gives you a clue.
As a novice Fenton collector, I find this book to be informative and highly recommend it as well as its' sister, "Fenton Art Glass Colors and Hand-Decorated Patterns 1939-1980" by Kenn Whitmyer, Margaret Whitmyer(2005)
