2018 GOLF LASER RANGE FINDER S600AG with FLAG-LOCK, SLOPE and VIBRATION (WHITE)

Compact and accurate

This was purchased as a replacement to a 15 year old Bushnell that was having a hard time locking up. I've played about 8 rounds with it at this point. Once I learned the "sweet spot" and to pan the scope over the flag as described in the directions, it locks up quickly and seems to be within a yard of my old scope and my playing partners. The pin seeking function and vibration when locked works well. Other than to test it, I have not used the slope function to date as it would give me a edge over my playing partners. The 6x optics are clear and bright. The LED readout is easy to read. It's smaller and lighter than I expected. I've be extra careful not to drop this on something hard. A rubber case would be a nice option. All things considered as long as it doesn't fail, this is a nice, feature loaded range finder at a great price.

Big skimmer with a budget price

I was looking to upgrade from my older Becket style skimmer driven by an external Iwaki pump for my 210 FOWLER. This appears to be Macro Aqua's last generation needle wheel product and my first Macro Aqua purchase. Overall construction quality is very good. The body isn't as heavy weight as some of the major brands, but in reality it looks plenty durable and is just sitting in the sump. Just be careful when removing for periodic cleaning. It is quite large, barely fitting in my cabinet and sump. Make sure you have space. Once installed dialing it in was a breeze. I was a little concerned about the exit gate, but it seems to work great at least with a stable water level in the sump. When running it’s almost dead quiet. The needle wheel generates a large amount of fine bubbles. With the big body there should be good contact time too. After letting it break in for about an hour I was easily able to adjust the skimmer produce a stable foam head. 3 hours in it is producing thick green skimate. I don’t know about supporting a 528-gallon reef, but it’s overkill for my 210. I’ve been doing marine tanks for decades. Thus far, this is one of the easiest skimmers I’ve used. For about $200 delivered as long as the pump holds up, I’d have a hard time doing better. The seller was great too. Shipped the same business day.
