FACTORY SEALED - DUCKBILL EARTH ANCHOR MODEL 68 DTS KITS

Will last 2 years and then the buried cable will rust and break away from duckbill,
I've used duckbill earth anchors twice to secure an aluminum awning from wind loads and while they are easy to install, in both instances they rusted where the cable attaches to the duckbill earth anchor, after 2-3 years. Problem is you dont know when the cable is totally compromised until one day you lean on it and it comes out of the ground. These are only good for temporary support of structures. The cables rust very quickly when in the soil.

They are cheap and you get what you pay for. They are not QUITE plug and play.
Let me explain why these mirrors dont work properly for a 2002 F350 7.3 liter diesel. 1. The ground wire in the harness adaptor that comes with the mirrors doesnt correspond to a ground wire in the original harness for my 2002 F350, so the lights dont work. The black wire must be grounded to the door for the lights to work as intended. 1a. The 2002 trucks didnt have side view mirrors with lights built-in so you will need to tap into the OEM harness to get parking lights and turn signals. But that's true for ANY newer light installed in a truck that didnt have lights in the mirrors. 2. The light bulbs they include are standard incandescent bulbs and are VERY DIM/WEAK. You'll need to use LEDs. Unfortunately the sellers dont provide instructions on how to remove the light fixture. I took mine out but it broke some plastic parts in the process so I had to glue the light fixture back onto to the mirror. 3. The mirror quality is acceptable but not OEM quality. There is some subtle distortion. They dont shake but they do have some minor distortion.
