Great for using a Sling aas a Shooting Aide
1 of 1 found this helpful These oversized loops have one great advantage: they allow a broader range of movement of the sling without putting as much stress on the rifle. I bought these for a loop sling that I use around my arm as a shooting / steady assisting device because I found regular swivels were actually unscrewing from the hard twist when used with the loop sling. These swivels prevent this and possible wood damage on the rifle.
The only issue is the loop is so large that a lot of pressure or a very, very heavy rifle will pull the loop out of the center. This is bad if you are using a lot of pressure on the rifle and need it, but could be good if you strike the rifle on something as the swivel might give before damage to your rifle.
