Mid-end features at a low-end price
1 of 1 found this helpful The Pyle PLTTB3U is an excellent, inexpensive choice for someone like me who's got a higher-end turntable in the main room but doesn't want to spend beaucoup bucks for something similar in the home office or bedroom (and doesn't want to settle for cheap Crosley imitations of antique radios). It's a lightweight model and fits just about anywhere you'd want to put a good turntable. For me, the only drawback is that it doesn't play 78 RPM records (but with the included Audacity software and USB cord I'm sure you could create digital copies of your 78s with it), and I collect those old shellac discs. But it does have the features that mark the likes of turntables made by Audio Technica - interchangeable standard-mount cartridge, tracking, pitch control, connectivity with various home system amps. Even if you're just a beginner audiophile who wants to work his or her way up to a higher-end component system, the Pyle's a great starting point for a turntable, and who knows? It might be one you stick with for a while. Recommended for the reasons listed above.
