Great pen
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought this pen to replace a Pilot 78G that had been stolen off my desk at work. These are great pens. Not fancy, but well worth the price. If you want a stub pen, that writes smoothly and reliably, but don't want to spend a fortune, this could be the pen for you.

Excellent product for the price
1 of 1 found this helpful I have one other Seiko watch and this one seems to be as good as my other watch. Seiko makes a very good entry level mechanical watch that offers fairly good accuracy and for a watch of this price is quite good at neither gaining nor losing time. No, it is not as good as a more expensive watch, however for the price it is actually better than a couple of my watches that cost 2/3 times as much.
As appearances go, it is quite good looking, the face has some very nice detail and the gold hands and indices are easy to read. (My other Seiko is the same model, but this a gold face and gold hands and is very hard to read) The watch probably appears quite small compared to the large watches that are currently popular, but I find it to be comparable to the types of watches that were popular when I was young in the 60's and 70's, so the size does not bother me.
My only complaint is the same complaint made by anyone who has purchased a low end Seiko. The band is crappy. However for the price, it seems worth it to buy a new band so that you can have a reliable daily wear watch that will be attractive and yet will not break the bank if any mishap should befall it during daily use. All in all a very good product at a very attractive budget price point.

As nice as described
The Pilot 78g is one of those economy pens that have been much lamented since their discontinuation. I have heard a lot of good things about the pens being a good value, especially the broad nib. I was curious to see what if any difference there was between the broad and pilot's current stub nib, such as the one offered on the Prera line of pens.
I may just be imagining it, but the broad seems to be fractionally wider than the stub pen, or at least I feel like the writing looks a bit more defined than the newer stub. Other than that, the nibs are almost identical in the way they write. This is a good thing, I have had excellent luck with Pilot pens and have to say the only Pilot I own that I find something less than enjoyable to write with is and EF steel nib. At that, I think it is only because I have been so spoiled by the other Pilot pens that I find the feed back on the EF more irritating than it probably is in reality. Also, this seller's price point is the best I have seen and even with shipping was less expensive than other merchants.
If you are interested in getting a good quality steel nib stub pen, I can recommend this. I wouldn't pay much more than the 13 that is being asked and to be honest, I think if I had purchased this pen first, I would not have bought my Prera stub.
