Richard Wills Bloody Social Worker (Paperback)

An interesting window into an often misunderstood world.

Having known the younger Richard and then made contact much later through Social Media I have found his journey to be one of the utmost interest. Teaching for the same number of years as Richard served as a Social Worker allows one to recognise so many common threads both at the personal level and as a result of being involved with an ever changing background of so called support services. Congratulations on his ability to cover the personal and the Political and in terms of the latter to underline the difficulties presented to front line workers by others who in fact have no contact with the world they are supposedly working to make better. Their efforts to often bring about the opposite results than those they hoped to create: though who knows whether or not these results were exactly the ones that were intended in the first place? Well done Richard, I am looking forward to your next oeuvre in anticipation of more insights into life in the C20th and C21st.
