Adventure at Sea - 10 Foot Boat Successfully Cross Atlantic
This book came from a Indianapolis Marion Co. Public Library and it's a shame that others, especially younger folks won't be reading it there any longer. Without dreams the people perish, paraphrased.
Alone Against the Atlantic, written by Gerry Spiess (with Marlin Bree), a Minnesota school teacher, recounts his obsession to sail across the ocean, from the Chesapeake Bay to Falmouth, UK, in a boat of his own design - a very small vessel, measuring only 10 feet in length.
Spiess' interest in sailing began years earlier when he and his wife, Sally, honeymooned in Acapulco. Since that time, he has owned myriad sailboats, three (at the time of the writing) which Spiess designed and built himself.
In 1979, Spiess sailed his small boat, Yankee Girl, successfully across the Atlantic.

Great heavy duty cleats for a yacht or to clean up the deck of a fishing boat. Unfortunately, they were too big for my use, so had to return them.
