Perfect solution
3 of 3 found this helpful I have a 2008 Tahoe and the dash cracked in several places which is a common problem. I hot glued the cracks then glued the new dash skin on. It is a really good alternative to a new expensive dash with hours of labor to exchange it. This install took about 30 minutes or less. The fit is amazingly tight and I’m very happy with the results. I’m a bit picky and I’m still very pleased. You will need to weigh down the dash until the glue dries in 4 hours. I used printer paper bundles and clean paper towels tucked between the doors and the dash to hold it in place. First fit the dash in without the glue to see where you’ll need to hold it in place.
Very good alternative, zero squeaks or rattles 6 months later. Glue takes a while to cure fully and smells for a week or so.
